The report advised of the Government's intention to consolidate existing Planning Policy Statements and Guidance into a single National Planning Policy Framework and to consult on what it should include.
Following consideration by the Planning and Transportation Advisory Board, the Cabinet Member for Planning and Transportation resolved that the content of the report of the Director of Planning, Transport and Leisure and the attached annex be transmitted to the Government as the Borough Council's response to the consultation on the content of the National Planning Policy Framework.
Reasons: As set out in the report submitted to the Planning and Transportation Advisory Board of 22 February 2011.
